Evening Storm Center Update

Steady light snow since our last report around 2 cm, just enough to make the roads slippery. EC is calling for 10 - 15 cm before it ends in the morning. Main problem will be the wind which will be in the range of 50 - 70 km/hr causing blowing and drifting snow along with reduced visibility in open areas. Not snowing very hard as I can see the lights at the Fairview Cove container pier.

Will be back late this evening with an update or sooner if conditions dictate.

Thanks for dropping by.

Woke up this morning to cool temperatures and blue skies. Low temperatures were in the -16 - -17*C range with wind chills around -25*C. Will be cool and sunny for the day.

Heard on the radio this morning that there is a salt shortage because of the storms of late. Salt comes from a mine in Pugwash who are working over time trying to catch up. Thankfully no storms in the forecast.
