Here is the EURO issued at 12z today for Saturday at 12z. It has slowed down and moved to the west since yesterday.

Click on block to view

The GFS 12z for 12z Saturday is quicker and further east than the GBL GEM and the EURO giving a chance of snow for western NB. This may have to be considered an outlier, but has remained consistant to last nights run, something the two other models haven't done.

Here is the Euro issued today at 12z for 12z next Saturday. It has the low further east than the GFS, still giving NS rain But western NB snow. Interestingly the Canadian Global shows no low at all.

The 18z run of the GFS for next Saturday morning shows the low to our west, meaning rain for us here in NS.

Clouded over early this morning and remained that way until this evening when it partly cleared. A cool breeze today had the walkers bundled up desptie it being nearly 8*C. Looks like we may see some sunny breaks tomorrow, cooler on Tuesday with a cold front passing through, slight chance of showers. Starts warming up on Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday should see the highs in the teens with showers and rain on Friday. When cold front moves through Saturday we will see falling temps but still uncertainty on timing and if rain will turn to snow. The way it looks now the answer is no. Stay tuned cause this will probably change many times.

Today was a sunny day with light winds. A lot cooler here than out west. Heavy snowfall warning for Vancouver 20 - 30 cm, go figure. Tomorrow looks like we could be experiencing increasing clouds with highs in the mid single digits. Next week looks calm until the end when rain can be expected, Maybe some snow on the backside of system? Will have to wait and see.

Rain began late last night and continued until early this morning. Some clearing occurred mid afternoon with increasing north winds which gave the air a chill. EC was still calling for 30 - 40 mm in their 5 am forecast but it never happened, rain was pretty much over with by then.
Lots of cold air out west and in the NWT and Yukon. It is expected to slowly make its way east this week. Coastal storm I spoke of last night appears to be rain here in NS, but still a week and a bit a way so can't be certain yet. Weekend looks good under sunny skies and a high of 5*C tomorrow and 9*C on Sunday.\

After a sunny start to the day clouds won over and it remained that way ahead of the system which formed off the Carolinas earlier in the week. Rain is expected to begin tomorrow evening and last throughout the overnight hours. Temperature wise things will warm up and remain that way until late next week as it looks now, when a trough moves eastward across the country. There is a possibility of a coastal storm formimg as the cold and warm air clash.

The morning began cloudy but soon cleared off with a drop in temperature at day break, from which we recovered only slightly. We recorded our lowest daytime temperatures of the season. Today the models are hinting at some rain during the Thursday night-Friday morning period from a low pressure system off the Carolinas. It is stationary now but once the high pressure system that is influencing us moves east, we should see the system begin to move north.
